We rework inherited and unworn jewellery into new pieces you’ll wear, crafted on site in Calgary by our goldsmiths.
Pricing depends on the piece you bring in and the work required to transform it. The gold is credited toward the value of your new design, and existing stones are retained and incorporated wherever possible. Before any work begins, we provide a detailed consultation at no cost, so you can review everything clearly with full transparency.

Your existing gold is assessed and applied toward the value of your new piece, becoming part of its final design and overall cost.
Any stones you already own are carefully preserved and incorporated into your new piece wherever the design allows, maintaining their original significance within a new form.
Before any work is started, you receive a detailed and transparent quote outlining the full scope of the design, materials, and process so you can proceed with complete clarity.
Bring in the jewellery, gold, or stones you'd like to rework. Together, we explore what can be preserved, transformed, and what your piece can become.
Working closely with you, we develop the design direction through sketches and renderings, refining the details before any work begins.
Once approved, your piece is made in our Calgary workshop by our goldsmiths using the materials you have entrusted to us.
Your redesigned piece is completed, inspected, and returned to you, ready to be worn for years to come.
Jewellery remodelling begins with trust. Many of the pieces brought to our workshop carry years of history, family connections, and stories that cannot be replaced. We understand the significance of what is being placed in our care and approach every piece with the respect it deserves.
Existing diamonds and gemstones can be incorporated into the new design or returned to you, depending on your wishes. For sentimental gold, we can incorporate a portion of your existing material into the new piece while adding refined gold where needed to ensure durability, beauty, and structural integrity. Any materials that cannot be reused are refined and credited as part of the remodelling process
"I then brought in a ring to resize and my wedding rings to re-rhodium plate, they came home looking BRAND NEW! Absolutely stunning."
- Rebecca
"Excellent experience! I inherited a ring with an absolutely beautiful diamond in a setting that wasn’t to my taste. They were able to set the stone in a custom setting, it was exactly what I imagined - so very pretty. The ring is beautifully made, was on budget, and completed within the quoted timeframe. Couldn't ask for more! I have also had a few small repairs done at Shimoon, they did a great job of that too. Highly recommend! "
- Melissa Kennedy
"I went to Shimoon jewellers to get my husbands grandfathers ring renewed and got black diamonds put in . It turned out Better than I could ever imagined . It looked stunning and they finished in just in time for his birthday. I highly recommend for any of your jewelry needs."
- Katie Elena
"I’ve been looking for quite a while for the right person to design, my wedding rings, and when we met Haik, I knew we had the right person. His attention to detail and master craftsmanship are obvious in the beautiful rings that he made! They will be heirlooms, and cherished forever!"
- KaeRae
You don't need to arrive with a finished idea. Many clients bring in inherited jewellery, old gold, or unworn pieces without knowing exactly what they want them to become. During the consultation, we'll review what you have, discuss possibilities, and help develop a design direction together.
Yes. Existing gold, diamonds, and gemstones can often be incorporated into a new design. During your consultation, we'll assess the materials and discuss the best way to carry them forward into the new piece.
Before any remodelling begins, you'll review and approve the proposed design. We refine the concept together before moving into production, ensuring you're comfortable with the direction before work starts.
Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the piece and the work involved. Once the design has been finalized, we'll provide an estimated timeline for completion.
Whether it's a family heirloom, unworn gold, or a piece that no longer feels like you, every redesign begins by looking at what's already there.
